
BORONGAN, August 21, 2019—The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Eastern Samar Field Office conducted a business planning for exhibitors of the six-day Borongan City Fiesta Agri-Trade Fair which will be held on September 2 – 7 at the Bishop’s residence.
The said business planning was participated by MSMS producers from Borongan, Guiuan, Salcedo, Oras and other municipalities in Eastern Samar. Some 25 exhibitors were selected to participate in the agri-trade fair.
The business planning included an orientation on the aims and goals of the agri-trade fair and a discussion of the general rules on trade fair participation.
According to Mary Gwyndele Ponferrada, DTI Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist, the said agri-trade fair is aligned with the Dukwag Agrikultura Program of City Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda, a program supporting farmers and the MSMS producers.
According to Ponferrada, this agri-trade fair is an initiative that aims to promote local agricultural products and an opportunity for local producers to reach wider markets.
The said business planning that was conducted on August 20, 2019 was in cooperation with the City Agricultural Office, Negosyo Center, Department of Agrarian Reform and other government agencies. (Gilamae Roncales / ESTE News)
